The American Health Care Act was scheduled for a vote in the House of Representatives for Thursday as a suggested replacement for the Affordable Care Act, which was set forth by the previous Obama administration. Surprisingly, the vote was postponed from Thursday to Friday.

The vote postponement was made because the House Republicans are split in their decision regarding the new bill proposed by the Trump administration.  Republicans can only lose 22 votes if they want the new bill to be passed in the Senate.

According to The Washington Post, conservatives want to completely abolish Title I of the Affordable Care Act. Conservatives want to protect the people, especially those with preexisting conditions and those people who need to stay on their parent’s health insurance plans.

Among those who oppose the new bill, four moderate Republicans are not in favor of the new American Health Care Act. President Trump is planning to meet with the group of 50 modertate Republicans. Since Thursday, the total count for those who opposed the bill is 37.

The final vote is expected to be deliberated Friday afternoon.
