Healthcare Spending Increases 6.7% in Q2

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, healthcare spending has increase 6.7% in Q2 of 2016. This increase in spending is the highest increase since Q1 in 2015, which was at a 7.1% increase in healthcare spending.

The data for the healthcare spending was from the amount that insurers and payers spent on patient services from hospitals, doctor visits, outpatient centers, labs and other healthcare providers. Revenue from hospitals accounts for 44% of the entire healthcare sector.

Actuaries and economists predict that healthcare spending will continue to grow fast in the future, as is seen through the higher sending rate in 2015 than 2014.

In 2016 so far,  revenue from healthcare has jumped up to $1.2 trillion, which is an increase of 5.9% in 2015.
